In solidarity with Christian churches all over the world, we are committed to the statements of the Apostles’ Creed.

I believe in God,

The Father Almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth,

And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

Born of the virgin Mary,

Suffered under Pontius Pilate,

Was crucified, died and was buried,

He descended into hell

On the third day he rose again from the dead.

In the tradition of the Reformation, we understand the Bible as God’s word to us humans and the only binding basis of our faith (sola scriptura).

It testifies to the personal guilt of every human being before God and God’s amazing offer of reconciliation to us through his Son, Jesus Christ, who died in our place and rose from the dead.

Through the grace of God alone (sola gratia), through Jesus Christ alone (solus Christus) and through personal faith in him alone (sola fide), we can be reconciled with God and live a life to the glory of God (soli deo gloria).

Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven [Matthew 6:9-10].
